Hershey and Rolo stop.

She picked up the cat and took it inside.

Hershey asked Rolo, “Why did you chase that cat into our yard?”

Rolo said, “So it would look like the chase caused the flowerpot to be broken.”

“Oh!” said Hershey.

Rolo continued, “I might just be an ugly street cat to you, but you’re my best friend and I didn’t want you to get into trouble.”

Hershey told Rolo, “I’m sorry for saying those mean things earlier.”
